This is a unique, heavy piece of sandstone that's been beautifully handcrafted. Lovely rolled wide rim and is deceptively deep. The castellated double bands with the circular groove make a stunning feature.
A beautiful birdbath for the outdoor table (or place a candle inside) or placed in the garden on a pedestal, bricks or an old wooden post This would also make a fabulous finial for the garden, post or wall.
The colour of the stone and weathering of the black, make this stone piece blend as if it's always been in that particular place. Sitting on the thick square stone base for me, resembles an old short stout chimney pot.
