These make great trivets for displaying pots either indoors or on an outdoor table, book ends or simply as a decorative piece. When they're standing on their sides and you step back the patterns change slightly and form a more intricate pattern. (sorry it's hard to describe on paper)
The cream vent can be used as a small tray to hold table condiments or place it on its side and use as a shallow display box/shelf.
The terracotta is one solid piece with different patterns on each side. It's heavy.
