Beautiful!
Not only does this reconstituted stone pineapple traditionally symbolise a warm welcome and friendship, it's a statement piece for the garden, treelined walk, post or gate finial or in the outdoor room.
Originally in the 17th and 18th centuries these were placed on gateposts and architecture to indicate that the homeowner was prosperous enough to import or grow exotic pineapples. Because they were incredibly rare and expensive they were called the "King Pine".
This King Pine has a fabulous patina. Naturally weathered by the elements and is smooth to the touch. A beautiful wedding or housewarming gift.
It is two piece and extremely heavy.
a/f minor scuffing on a couple of the points
