Pair of Antique British WWI Howitzer Trench Mortar Planters

NZ$2,200.00

These trench mortars were also known as “Toffee Apple” or “Plum Pudding” have a bitter sweet feel about them. Considering what they were originally intended for, they are now a fabulous unique pair of iron planters. This pair were made in May 1916.

They are a gorgeous colour and paint patina, shape and ooze character. Ideal for planters, bowls, large candle holder, book ends or simply as they are.

They are extremely heavy for their size and would look great centre place of the outdoor or indoor table. Brilliant historical conversation pieces. Lest We Forget.
