The antique wrought iron base is a beautiful design with gorgeous swirl detailing and has been masterly crafted. This is topped off with an amazing layered paint patina consisting of white, green, green, red and the iron itself that has the lovely aged pitting.
Then comes the stunning piece of thick, heavy English slate. It is a beautiful grey colour with one corner a soft greyish/green.
The piece of slate is not the original top. It sits perfectly flat and is extremely heavy so no chance of moving or being knocked off.
A super fabulous antique table that will be around in another hundred years.
