SOLD - Victorian Ludo Wrought Iron Bench with Centre Armrest and Footrest
A stunning unique two piece set of garden furniture. This Ludo bench with centre armrest and low footrest was originally used at an English girls school as a swimming pool bench. The footrest was to keep their feet off the wet surface.
It’s a simple design with unique details and has been beautifully crafted. The wrought iron is wide and the boards are thick. It is a solid, robust piece of furniture.
The iron has a lovely green/black paint patina. The underside of the bench has the remnants of white paint.
The centre armrest is marked LUDO.
